In his own words 40 Glocc is a outgoing humble gifted artist, introducing his life to the world. Here is a brief Q & A with him.

How long have you been involved with music and what inspired you to start?
Been involved with music since I was like 14 years old listening to Dr.Dre and Snoop Dogg and lots of different rappers inspired me.

What drives you to do what you do so well?
Being able to express myself and let the world hear me is what drives me.
What’s the latest trend in music?
The latest trend is muthafucks just making song and not talking about shit, if you ask me.

Hip Hop is catching a lot of flack. What’s your impression of the genre?
Hip hop is a great way to express views, the flack is gonna come with something that powerful.

What are your thoughts about the Don Imus fall out?
Fuck Don Imus.

You dropped a song titled Lord Help Us regarding the use of the word N*gga, why do you feel that it need to be spoken about?
It needed to be made because nobody speaks for us music wise anymore. Everyone is scared to voice their opinion and I’m not one to hold my tongue.

What are your thoughts on snitching seeing it is such a hot topic for main stream media?
Mind ya own business is my view on snitching and you won’t have to worry about snitching (laugh).

Should Black people be forced to live to a higher standard given our history?
Hell yea!

Where does the line exist between entertainment and social responsibility? Can the two principles not co-exist?
The line exists where each individual feels it’s necessary. I don’t believe in everyone following or doing what others do. I do what I feel is right or wrong and yes the two can co exist.

Can some music just be for entertainment whether it is negative or not?
Yes music can be for entertainment, whether negative or not.

How did you end up hooking up with Mobb Deep?
We hooked up through my friend & manager storm.

What is a song that you hate to love?
Glamorous by Fergie (laugh).

Music wise what would you say is the biggest risk you have ever taken?
Voicing my opinion on situations is the biggest risk. Oh yeah and that fight in Belgium (laugh) not backing down to a crowd of muthafucks, that was some risky shit.

What is your creative process when it comes to song writing?
I try to give you reality shit that you can picture in ya mind and touch you consciously.

Do you like to listen to your own music?
I love listening to my own music I think I’m my biggest fan!

Do you think that music as a whole is suffering due to the follow the leader type of style?
Yes I think its suffering from that but I intend to change that.

What projects should we be looking out for in 2007 from 40 Glocc?
My “that new nigga” mixtape with DJ Nick Bean and Feli Fel, my Outspoken Vol.3 with DJ Whoo Kidd and 50cent, check out of songs available on itunes and youtube. My Where Them Hammerz At video is blowing up like crazy.

Are there artists out there that you’d like to work with that you think would be a good fit for collaborating with that you haven’t already?
I wanna work with Nelly Furtado, Fergie and Gwen Stefani.

Where the weirdest place a fan has ever recognized you?
In Glasgow on the street a bunch of 12 year old kids that were big 40 Glocc fans it was crazy.

What are some misconceptions of 40 Glocc?
That I don’t have feelings and I am a all out bad person.

How important is the live show to you?
A live show is very important you get to really see your fans and I love to shake their hands and talk to them.

What advice do you give to new artists that are pursuing a successful career like yours that you wish you had received when starting out?
Never give up stay humble, never take shit for granted and utilize every situation to the maximum!

What is your goal in this business?
To touch the world and leave with my presence and to be remembered when I’m gone also to establish a good life for my kids and to make jobs for people in the future.

What was the last record that really impressed you?
This song I did called Lord Help Us .

What artist should we be on the lookout for in 2007?
You should be on the lookout for Gail Gotti, Lil He, Sam Scarfo ,and anybody 40 Glocc fucks with.
